See Ya in 80 Days

Our stuff, headed to the boat headed for Japan, we wont see it again until August.

This is what it has come to

Sleeping on a futon in our desolately empty living room. My media center PC feels sad without its TV pal and is hiding in the corner.

On a related note, if you know anyone looking to buy a house in my area with a fantastic location and lots of nice updates I know one that's coming on the market soon...

How Did I Get Here?

My pint sized Toyota city hotel room
Last Summer when my project at work had me traveling to Japan the potential for moving back to Japan came up for consideration.  Since moving back to Michigan in Summer 2009 the idea of moving back to Japan had interested me - but only if Mike could go too. Before we had the chance to do any planning for a move the project I was working on fell through, but I made sure my managers knew I was still looking for the next opportunity.

Late last year the next chance presented itself, but the timing was tight - the estimated project start date would be the beginning of February. So on January 12th, 2012 Mike and I got married.  Throughout the Winter the project timing was delayed a few weeks and then a few weeks more...then a little more.

I made my first business trip in mid April, returning to Michigan, for one week, during Japan's Golden Week. As I write this I am at the airport headed home for a few weeks to pick up my work visa and my husband so that we can start a new ICT adventure.

Fishing Cat

I'm afraid you're stuck viewing my photographic shenanigans. Wooden statue of a fishing cat? Looks like pretty great color, contrast, and sharpness to me! I've been putting my new camera through its paces, and have been very pleased with the results so far.
